1.0.1 This code is developed for the design of 3-110 kV high voltage (HV) switchgear (switchgear in short) that is to be safe,reliable, technically advance, cost effective and easily operational and
maintainable.
1.0.2 This code applies to the design of newly built and expanded 3-110 kV HV switchgear.
1.0.3 In designing HV switchgear, the equipment shall be selected and the layout scheme thereof shall be established reasonably according to power load characteristics, capacity, ambient conditions
as well as requirements on installation, operation and maintenance.If technically and economically feasible, electrical equipment and materials with high efficiency and low energy consumption shall be
used.
1.0.4 The switchgear shall be designed based on the characteristics,scale, and development plan of individual projects, taking into account both the long term and short term plans but highlighting the
latter and reserving space for future expansion.
1.0.5 Switchgear must be designed with a minimum use of land.
1.0.6 In addition to this code, switchgear shall be designed incompliance with the current relevant national standards as well.
